Cela fait plus de deux décennies que Misophone enregistre leur curieuse forme de de folk lofi d’évier de cuisine. Pendant tout ce temps, ils ont enregistré des centaines (peut être des milliers) de chansons et sont d’ores et déjà en train de travaillerau prochain album.
Cela fait maintenant 2 décennies que Misophone produit son étonnante musique “lo-fi kitchen sink folk” comme ils aiment à le dire. Vingt ans et des centaines (peut-être des milliers) de chansons. Et ce n’est pas fini car le groupe travaille actuellement sur son prochain album. Avec des influences allant du music-hall victorien aux premières bandes de Daniel Johnston en passant par les rythmes changeants du folk d’Europe centrale et orientale, Misophone crée une musique atypique suscitant un culte auprès de fans du monde entier.
“And so sinks the sun in a burning sea” réunit 11 titres, issus de 7 albums différents.
L’album est une édition limitée de 100 exemplaires accompagné d’un poster avec les paroles et de cartes postales.

Misophone have been recording their curious brand of lo-fi kitchen sink folk for almost two decades. In that time, they have recorded hundreds (perhaps thousands) of songs and are already working on their next album.
Previous albums have been released on the acclaimed Swedish label Kning Disk (home to Anna von Hausswolff, Ebbot Lundberg, Small Feet etc) Japanese label Lirico and now, once more, on the French independent: Another Record.
With influences ranging from Victorian music hall, the early tapes of Daniel Johnston and the shifting rhythms of Eastern and Central European folk, but harnessing an essence that is very much their own, they have continued to garner a cult of supporters around the world. They have still never played live and rarely record in the same room.
This collection gathers together a selection of their songs – spanning seven albums and many years – together in one place.
