Hémisphère Sud assume un paradoxe fondamental: celui de vouloir déconstruire le canon de la pop song tout en citant un certain classicisme d’écriture typique de l’ âge d’or de la chanson des années 60 et 70. Né à Tours, le trio formé par Thomas Ghazi, Benoit Berger et Martin Vidy (Volage, Anna, Gnossos) enregistre les morceaux qui composent ce premier album en deux semaines avant le départ de son chanteur pour Cape Town en Afrique du Sud. Finalement de retour en France, celui-ci réactive Hémisphère Sud qui devient un véritable projet live et s’attelle à la sortie de cet album chez Another record.
Hémisphère Sud assumes a fondamental paradox : that of a deconstruction of the pop song parangon while quoting a certain classicism of songwriting reminiscent of the golden age of songs in the 60’s and 70’s. Born in Tours, this trio, Thomas Ghazi, Benoit Berger et Martin Vidy (Volage, Anna, Gnossos), records the tracks that make this first album in only two weeks before their singer leaves to Cape Town, South Africa.
Eventually back in France, he would reactivate Hémisphère Sud which becomes a live band and works on the release of this album with Another record.
